MY FAVORITE TEA BLEND

Updated: Dec 30, 2021

aloha friends!

I thought I would share today, something that I love to indulge in regularly. It’s my favorite tea blend!

This isn’t a blend that I sell over at curatedshoppe.com , but it is my favorite. It is a very simple recipe made up of a few of my absolute favorite herbs. The herbs come together to create a very earthy/spicy aroma and flavor.

The tea blend is made up of turmeric, ginger, lemon balm, and black peppercorns. I love turmeric in a tea. Turmeric is known for it's anti-inflammatory benefits, but most people don't realize that those benefits, only work to their full potential if turmeric is paired with black pepper. You see, the curcumin in turmeric (which is where the benefits come from) is only able to fully absorb into the blood stream, once it is paired with pepperine. Pepperine is found in black pepper.

As I said above, I also love ginger and lemon balm, which both have great benefits of their own. However, in this tea, I love the spicy flavor ginger adds and the soothing citrus flavor of the lemon balm.

I usually drink about a cup of this tea a day if not more! I prefer the tea at the start of my day, and will sometimes add a little of my "Get Tight" blend with it in the mornings if I need the extra caffeine. (This is the beauty of using loose leaf, you can mix blends up as you please!) I also will have it after a big meal, or just for curling up on the couch to watch a movie with a cup of tea in hand.

So if you too, are a turmeric lover, check out the recipe below to make your own blend of this yummy goodness!

Founders Favorite Tea Blend Recipe

1 part Ginger

1 part Lemon Balm

1/2 part Black Peppercorns

Place all ingredients into a mason jar or storage container with a tight lid, and mix well. Use about 2 tsp of tea leaves, per 8oz cup, to make a cup of tea. Place leaves in mesh ball, tea bag, or coffee press and add hot water. Let steep 5 mins. Strain and Enjoy!
